Description
We are currently seeking reliable Runner/Yard Labourers to join the Hastings/Napier team. This role will play a part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our operations by safely transporting our access equipment to and from customer sites on time with the truck driver. You will also be required to provide hands-on assistance in the yard as needed.

This is a busy, hands-on physical role, with early starts, heavy lifting, and 40 hours or more per week.

Requirements:

Ride on a rubbish/recycling truck

Pick up bags or bins of rubbish/recycling and throw them into the truck

Operate machines to pick up bins

Separate rubbish from recycling

Operate equipment that crushes rubbish and items for recycling

Unload and clean rubbish/recycling trucks

Drive forklifts or vehicles with tracks or rollers

Physically fit, able to lift up to 20kg, and comfortable with manual labour

Ability to do overtime and work in most types of weather, and in conditions that may be dirty, messy, and smelly

Reliable, punctual, honest, with a positive can-do attitude

Pass a pre-employment drug test and conviction check

Candidates must be available and eligible to work in New Zealand.
