We are seeking a Geothermal Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our power stations operate at their full potential, safely and efficiently. You'll be supporting the five geothermal plants located in the Central North Island that power base-load - this means they make power 24/7 ensuring a constant supply of power night and day.
This role is based at our Rotorua office and you will have the flexibility to work from home approximately 2 days per week while collaborating with the team either in the office or onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside a diverse team to maintain optimal performance of geothermal power stations.
Technical Expertise: Provide valuable insights and influence across our geothermal assets to drive process improvements and optimisation.
Site Support: Offer day-to-day process support to tackle operating issues and complex interrelated challenges, while managing process safety hazards effectively.
Optimisation Activities: Conduct optimisation initiatives to push our stations as close to their technical limits as possible. This includes both daily advice and managing site-based projects aimed at enhancing performance.
Bottleneck Removal: Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to minimize lost generation, ensuring our assets operate at peak efficiency.
We are looking for:
Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Strong experience (e.g. 5-10 years) within the industry or transferrable industry experience
Understanding and experience with data science techniques a benefit
