Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for two New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapists/Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau ( OT) to be part of our Mental Health rotational programme.
The programme will provide a variety of opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge and ability to become a skilled OT in this field.These rotational positions will best suit a new graduate or someone with up to 2 years' experience.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to rotate approximately once every year.About the ServiceThis position will allow the successful therapists an opportunity to rotate through a variety of clinical mental health settings, including year-long rotations in acute inpatient, forensic inpatient rehabilitation and community forensics.
This experience could be the foundation for a long and successful career in mental health.About youCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.A positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to learnExperience of working in collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to work autonomously, as well as part of a teamExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
