Anaesthetists at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitemata, AucklandAnaesthetists – SMOApplications are invited for suitably qualified Consultant Anaesthetists to join our theatre services team.We operate over two main sites: North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, as well as the Elective Surgery Centre and Totara Haumaru, with a wide range of clinical sub-specialities (excluding cardiothoracic, vascular, Neuro).The successful candidates will have a broad scope of clinical skills, a commitment to teaching, and continuing medical education. In addition, a strong focus on continuous quality improvement, personal development, and administration of departmental activities is required.We offer a large variety of clinical work, an Acute Pain Service, an Anaesthetic Preadmission Service, and busy Obstetric Units in both hospitals.There is a significant acute workload, usually requiring specialist cover on site in the evenings and weekend days to support the Registrar and Senior House Officers.
