They tautoko (support) the largest workforce in the South Island ensuring we pay our kaimahi (staff) accurately, on time, every time. They are hard-working and dedicated delivering their mahi (work) to high standards putting the kaimahi (staff) at the centre of what they do.Our team is made up of 9 fantastic specialists who are very inclusive, friendly, supportive and celebrate the wins/milestones. As a Roster Officer, you'll report into the Rostering Support Team Leader.Key everyday responsibilities include:Providing essential support and advice to our managers;Translating information about who worked what and when into wages;Being the gatekeeper to good quality payment data.Alongside this, there are always projects and initiatives that need to be supported too:Collaborating with colleagues and kaimahi (staff) to review and continuously improve the way we work;Training and support of our people leaders and roster transactors;Making sure we comply with legislation;Helping prioritise work;Providing information for audits.We are located in the Corporate Office, Christchurch City Centre. The ability to work from home on occasion and have flexibility of hours is also a possibility.To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable in a complex, diverse and fast-paced work environment. We need someone who's resilient, driven, works well under pressure and is unphased by delivering to deadlines while achieving a high level of accuracy. This role would suit an energetic problem solver with a keen eye for detail who can adapt their style and focus when the need arises. Drive and determination to deliver excellent customer service is a must.You'll be working with complex reports so should have an intermediate knowledge of systems and reporting tools.
