The role will include, but not limited to:
Preparing Roof Surfaces: Ensure the roof framework is ready for tile installation by cleaning surfaces, laying down underlayment or insulation, and securing battens (horizontal supports) if needed.
Laying and Securing Tiles: Place tiles in specific patterns and secure them using nails, cement, or other fastening methods to create a durable and weatherproof roof surface.
Cutting and Shaping Tiles: Cut tiles to fit around edges, corners, chimneys, vents, and other roof features using tile cutters, saws, or grinders.
Repairing and Replacing Tiles: Inspect for damaged or missing tiles and replace or repair them to maintain the roof's integrity. This can include resealing or re-fastening loose tiles.
Waterproofing: Apply waterproofing measures, like sealants and flashing (metal strips that prevent water seepage) around vulnerable areas to prevent leaks.
Working with Safety Measures: Utilize harnesses, scaffolding, and other safety equipment to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Advising on Tile Types and Materials: Help clients choose suitable types of tiles for their climate, aesthetic preferences, and budget.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Remove debris after completing work and ensure gutters, drains, and roof surfaces are clear of leftover materials.
Other duties may be reasonable required by the business owner or any other representative
Job pre-requisites:
At least 3 years full time roofer working experience with verified evidence
Relevant qualification is preferable but not a must
Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.
physically capable to perform heavy work be able to work overtime
excellent work ethic and great time management passion for the industry.
The successful candidate must not have any criminal convictions
