You will respond to and investigate breaches of the Resources Management Act and other relevant legislation, and build positive working relationships with those you interact with.This role will involve:Monitoring compliance with resource consent conditions, including carrying out routine and random inspections.Building relationships with local sub-contractors and builders and taking a proactive approach to improve our processes and outcomes.Responding to land use complaints and taking appropriate action where necessary.Gathering evidence to enable enforcement action to be undertaken under the Resource Management Act.Ideally, you would have a strong grasp of the Resource Management Act 1991 and relevant legislation and an understanding of Council Bylaws. We're looking for someone with a tertiary qualification in Resource Management or Planning, and experience in a similar or compliance role.
