About the Role:
This contract role will play a pivotal part in leading risk transformation efforts within a large-scale banking programme. The role involves providing strategic risk leadership, ensuring all compliance and operational risks are managed effectively, and influencing key decision-making to embed robust controls throughout critical business processes. Working on a granular level to review requirements and stories, ensuring that risk has been thoroughly considered and represented. You will bring your expertise and resourceful mindset to lean on other experts in the business where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the risk management strategy within the transformation programme.Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational risks are understood and mitigated.Drive the design of technology-based processes and controls for risk management.Engage risk and compliance experts when required for impact assessments and control design.Ensure that risk governance frameworks are established, tracked, and adhered to.Key Skills and Experience: Strong expertise in risk management, particularly in compliance and operational risk within transformation programmes.Experience working in large-scale, cross-functional transformation teams.Proven track record of designing and implementing risk management strategies.Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with a focus on influencing outcomes.Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks and tools.Experience with Agile methodologies is an advantage.There is room for this role to extend or even diversify into the broader transformation team.
