Take part in a growing business in the world of global capital markets and gain exposure to the world's largest equities markets, including NASDAQ, NYSE, HKEX, ASX, LSE and TSE.THIS OPPORTUNITY:We are seeking an experienced Risk Managerto manage critical financial, operational, and market risk and trade functions for our brokerage business.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:This role is responsible for managing the small Risk Department in assisting the company in developing and maintaining all aspects of the company's Risk Management Framework, by providing independent and objective oversight, monitoring and reporting functions in relation to risk activities associated with the company's capital markets operations.You will:• Establish, monitor and report on the control mechanisms in place for each material risk and evaluate their effectiveness, as well as regularly review the appropriateness of possible additional control mechanisms to address residual risks;• Notify the company and the Management Group of any material deviation from or material breach of the company's Risk Management Framework;• Where weaknesses or risks are identified in projects, work with the Management Group to ensure rectification procedures are in place, actively monitored and appropriately reported on;• Establish mechanisms to monitor trading activity across the business and implement systematic controls and surveillance procedures;• Sourcing, capturing and maintaining all trading and market data elements to conduct analysis;• Analysing counterparty, trade position risk, and financial risk whilst producing reports on a daily basis.YOU:Ideally you will possess at least three years of trade and/or risk experience within the buy-side / capital markets / brokerage sector.
