As the Risk and Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role providing assurance to the HWR Board. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance you will assist facilitating Enterprise Risk Management and perform Business Assurance reviews across the HWR Group of companies. While doing this you will be: Contributing to improving alignment of processes and procedures across the HWR Group to standardise where possible, or to best practice. Balancing the company's goal to eliminate waste and enhance profitability with ensuring processes are adequately controlled. As our Risk and Assurance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include: Coordinating, facilitating, coaching and advising the business on Enterprise Risk Management, and consolidating risk reporting. Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes and internal controls by reviewing business processes and testing controls over specific risk areas. Identifying issues and recommending actions to address identified issues. Reporting and communicating findings and recommendations. Reviewing and monitoring the implementation of actions to address the issues raised. Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across the HWR Group. This position is integral to our business and we need a motivated self-starter who has: Excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or related roles. Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
