Our aim is to deliver the best cost-benefit and value to our business performance, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust internal controls.About the RoleAs a Risk & Assurance Advisor, you will be responsible for completing and managing internal audits according to the annual Internal Audit Programme, monitoring and reporting associated actions, coaching roles across the business to identify and manage risk, while also being involved in enterprise-wide initiatives aimed at simplifying risk and promoting risk awareness and reduction across the business.Your key responsibilities will include:Identify and assess risk across all areas of LIC.Escalate critical risks to the Risk & Assurance Manager.Contribute to the maturity of LIC's control environment and practices and the effectiveness of its risk and assurance processes.Integrate risk assessments into change management processes.Plan and execute internal audits on LIC's processes.Monitor and verify the resolution of audit findings.Provide regular risk and audit updates to the Audit Finance and Risk Committee.Take ownership of issues, addressing and resolving them collaboratively.Oversee and ensure robustness of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.About YouKey to your success will be your ability to work seamlessly across the business, with a deep understanding of our strategy.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build strong, effective relationships across all levels of our business is crucial.
You will also demonstrate:Proven experience in risk management.Hands-on experience with operational and compliance audit planning, scoping, fieldwork and audit report writing.Proven ability to identify, document and articulate operational risks and support the business to identify, develop, manage and monitor these, including for technology and health and safety.Ability to clearly articulate business issues, impacts, and required actions to relevant parties.Awareness of organisational self-assessment procedures.Ability to work collaboratively, influence stakeholders and uphold integrity and accountability.Excellent report writing, active listening, and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and an eye for detail.Be a great team player with ability to work independently when necessary.Have a passion for continuous improvement and learning.Holding a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification would be advantageous.What We Offer:Joining a collaborative and supportive work environment, the role presents the opportunity to work across the business with an enterprise-wide focus.We support work life balance and flexible ways of working, making this a great role for someone living commutable distance to Hamilton, who enjoys a split of office and work from home time.In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive extra leave days, discounted health, life, income and disability insurances, access to our employee shares scheme, free onsite parking, and EV charging stations, plus more!Click apply to submit your application online.
