As our Risk Advisory Senior Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of providing pragmatic, commercially minded risk advice that drives sound customer and business outcomes and supports our growth agenda.The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to promote the effective application of risk management frameworks and working practices across the organisation. By providing effective risk management guidance, challenge, and support, this role helps to improve and strengthen IAG NZ's business practices and processes. This supports the delivery of IAG NZ's strategy and provides good outcomes for our customers, people, and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Provide pragmatic risk oversight, advice and insights that advance risk maturity and enhance organizational decision-making.Monitor the application of the risk management framework, policies and procedures to ensure a consistent, effective and practical approach is being applied.Influence a positive risk culture.Provide commercial advice that goes beyond risk frameworks, targeting the achievement of business objectives and driving the connected customer strategy.Take risk subject matter expert responsibility for one or more areas within the operational risk class of risks.This is a full-time permanent opportunity, with hybrid working conditions and is open to any of our IAG offices in New Zealand. Our preference is for those based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 5 years in risk management within financial services or consultancy.High personal drive, enthusiasm, and integrity.Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.Inquisitive, agile thinker, and problem solver.Experience advising senior management on risk, assurance, risk culture, or conduct matters.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Qualifications:Relevant commercial/industry qualifications and experience.Tertiary qualifications in business, law, commerce, digital technology, or related fields preferred.Experience with the Three Lines of Assurance model and insurance knowledge.Ability to build credible relationships with stakeholders.Outcomes-focused and committed to excellence.This is your chance to make a significant impact in a leading organisation, leveraging your expertise in risk management and reporting.
