Digital Media Trust (DMT) is an independent charitable trust that produces two websites; 'NZ On Screen' and 'AudioCulture'. DMT's purpose is to provide, bring context and understanding, and enable enjoyment of Aotearoa's popular culture and its history. They are primarily funded by NZ On Air and supported by the generosity of the New Zealand screen and music industries.Position: Rights & Sourcing ExecutiveLocation: Permanent, full-time position based in Wellington CentralKey Responsibilities:Working with the NZ On Screen Content Director to prioritise titles to be licensed for the siteResearching and documenting titles in relation to rightsholders, copyright status and availabilityLiaising with industry content partners as well as broadcasters and independentsEnsuring licence agreements have been executed for titles before they are passed to the NZ On Screen content team for preparation for publicationUpdating relevant documentation and database recordsProviding regular reports on progress, as requiredWorking with the Executive Director and Content Director to report on rights issues that may ariseSourcing materials once the rights have been secured including digital copies of video content, stills and publicity materials.You will enjoy working in a high-trust, collaborative, supportive and dedicated team environment as well as have opportunities to work with interesting content and projects, creative people and industry experts.This is a varied and busy role that will draw on your interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities, attention to detail, and influencing and negotiating skills.
