About this role
We are looking for a hardworking and professional individual to join our hardworking revenue team. This role will support the Revenue Team Lead in the planning and delivery of the revenue function (including all forms of revenue – rates, revenue from water meters and sundry income), the processing of cash receipts and collection of debt.
Skills and experienceRequired:

Good interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and capability to deal with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation.
Minimum 3 years' experience working in financial area of organisation requiring knowledge and accuracy in working with numbers.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, to an intermediate level.
Proactive engagement and acceptance of accountability and problem solving.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to complete tasks to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Understanding of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable:

Previous experience in working within the rating area of Local Government.
A working knowledge of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002.
