Role Overview:
Look for a fixed term contractor- functional Dynamics 365 FinOps Consultant. You will be responsible for implementing, customizing, and optimizing Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. You will collaborate closely with the finance team and business stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that Dynamics 365 FinOps is utilized to its maximum potential. This role is crucial for streamlining our operations and resolving any outstanding issues from implementation phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and business stakeholders to understand their processes, requirements, and pain points, translating them into effective Dynamics 365 FinOps solutions.
Assessment & Optimization: Conduct comprehensive assessments of systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and implement Dynamics 365 FinOps modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Management, and Procurement, following industry best practices.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues post-implementation, ensuring smooth operation and minimal disruption.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the development of best practices documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Training & Support: Provide training and support to the Finance Systems Analyst, end users, and the wider IT team on the effective use of Dynamics 365 FinOps and related technologies.
Reporting: Assist in the design and development of Solver reporting to enhance our financial reporting capabilities.
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in implementing and customizing Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions, including full lifecycle implementations.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 FinOps modules and their integration points, with proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and related technologies.
Finance Knowledge: Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes and how they can be effectively configured within Dynamics 365 FinOps.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in Dynamics 365 FinOps (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate) are a plus.
Reporting Tools: Experience with Solver reporting tools is preferred but not required.
