Formed in 1941, Te Whanau Tupu Ngatahi o Aotearoa – Playcentre Aotearoa (Playcentre) is a licenced early childhood education provider and charitable trust. It is a bicultural organisation committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and celebrating people's uniqueness which has a philosophy of empowering 'parents as first educators'. Playcentre seeks to empower whanau and tamariki to work, play, learn and grow together, and today has over 400 centres nationwide.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Revenue Development Manager is responsible for delivering new revenue for Playcentre Aotearoa. You will develop new commercial relationships to identify and create revenue streams through product development, potential franchise arrangements, sponsorship/partnerships and sound business practice.
In addition to commercial revenue development opportunities, you will also investigate new funding streams in areas such as public health and education, for Playcentre to provide services outside of the current core ECE Bulk Funding. An understanding of government funding would therefore be advantageous.
This is a Greenfields opportunity with huge potential. We are seeking entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to bring ideas, coupled with a strong execution focus and the ability to see these ideas through to implementation.
You will lead, drive and manage large national programmes, build and nurture strong relationships, work strategically, be innovative, and thrive within a dynamic environment.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the biggest change Playcentre has seen in its history, while using your entrepreneurial skills and mindset to make a positive difference for this important and iconic New Zealand organisation.
