About You This role requires a proactive leader with a passion for home improvement and a strong background in retail management along with proven experience fostering a positive team culture.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who enjoys being hands-on whilst leading the team from the shop floor.
This is not a back office based position.
Key Responsibilities Recruit, train, and develop store staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee satisfaction.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Drive store sales and meet or exceed sales targets through effective merchandising and promotional activities.
Ensure the highest level of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the shopping experience.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security.
An eye for strong and powerful merchandising to capture customer attention.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
Manage the store budget, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
Qualifications: 5+ years of proven experience as a Store Manager within the large format & trade retail sector.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Ability to analyze sales data and make informed business decisions.
Roster will be 45.5 hours, 5 days including 1 weekend day a week.
