About the Job

This is a fully on-site, permanent role located at our Mitre 10 MEGA Albany store. The roster pattern for this role would require some weekend work and some late nights, most likely Tuesday to Saturday.
About the role
Due to the current incumbent moving to another store, we are looking for a leader who can ensure our team members and specialists are equipped to deliver exceptional service to Every Customer, Every Time. If you have had any of these previous job titles: Zone Leader, Department Leader, Team Leader, or Team Supervisor, we want to hear from you! If you are passionate about customers and have an eye for detail, then this role might be for you. Your scope of work would also include maximizing the efficiency of the front-end team so that they are delivering the best customer service, operational standards, and overall tidiness and cleanliness within the checkout area and adjacencies.
What will you bring
Ideally, you would have 2+ years' experience in a retail environment at mid-management level.
You have previous team leadership experience regularly leading 10+ members of staff.
You are someone who leads with a hands-on approach.
You have solid operational knowledge of supply chain and suppliers and the supply chain process.
You demonstrate a high level of stock integrity awareness.
You have decision-making capability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
You have great administrative and time management skills as they relate to retail and leadership responsibilities.
You would be prepared to commit to at least one weekend day (most likely Sunday) and have some flexibility to match our trading hours, which could include some early starts and some late finishes. The non-peak season store trading hours are from 7 am to 7 pm.
In addition to the above, you will need a high level of competence in the following areas:
Coaching and supporting team members to achieve required performance standards and fulfill expectations.
Championing health and safety, ensuring safe work practices within your team.
Championing continuous improvement within your department.
