Retail Assistant - Vinnies Frankton Store St Vincent de Paul in New Zealand tackles poverty in all its forms through the provision of practical assistance to those in need. We rely on volunteers to help us provide vital support to the community.
We are currently looking for volunteers to join the Vinnies team, who can spare a minimum of 4 hours or more a week here at our Frankton stores. This is a great opportunity to learn new retail skills including point of sale, customer service, merchandising, and retail shop work in a great team-based environment.
You could be involved in a variety of roles here at Vinnies from refreshing the stock, keeping the shop clean and tidy, customer service, and working on the till.
Requirements:
This role requires someone who loves retail or is willing to learn. You need a good standard of conversational English, be a team player, must be reliable, punctual, and can multitask. Preferably, we would like someone who has a willingness to make a 3+ month commitment to this role and has retail experience; however, full training will be provided.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
Time commitment:
One shift per week or more if you have availability - you must be able to do at least one 4-hour shift per week. Monday - Friday 9am-4pm, 10am-2pm
Saturday - 9am-1pm
*Flexibility with hours can be discussed with the store manager.
