We are looking for an experienced individual in assisting the Restaurant Manager to independently managing the operation of one of our resort restaurants/bar/cafe. Ideally, you must have a tertiary qualification in management, business and/or hospitality. The suitable candidate must be an experienced, professional individual who is passionate about food and wine, strong and confident with excellent administration, marketing, and communication skills, who has the drive and determination to succeed. Be able to work on weekends when it requires when necessary and be resilient and conscientious. You will have experience in restaurants, conferencing and wedding management and will understand how to provide outstanding customer service. We are seeking someone with energy and commitment, as well as great people and management skills. This is a hands-on position in which you will be required to undertake service shifts, during weekends and public holidays. You will be an integral part of the management team. To be successful in this role you will need:• Long term commitment to this role. • A superb food, wine, and cocktail knowledge, excellent presentation & communication, Current LCQ & a current General Manager's Certificate.• A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry, knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems, extensive management experiences in fine dining Restaurants/hotel F & B operations.• Able to work together with our Head Chef on developing the new/suitable menus.• Strong and effective communication skills, experience in managing and motivating staff, recruiting new staff, training and developing existing staff, coordinating staff scheduling and rota, able to engage & drive a strong FOH team culture.• Outstanding customer service skills, Excellent communication skills.• Planning and working to budgets, handling and recording stock level, maximizing profits and achieving sales targets.
