We are looking for an experienced individual to assist the Restaurant Manager in independently managing the operation of one of our resort restaurants/bar/cafe. Ideally, you must have a tertiary qualification in management, business, and/or hospitality.The suitable candidate must be a professional individual who is passionate about food and wine, possesses strong administration, marketing, and communication skills, and has the drive and determination to succeed. You must be able to work on weekends when necessary and be resilient and conscientious.You will have experience in restaurants, conferencing, and wedding management, and understand how to provide outstanding customer service. We seek someone with energy and commitment, as well as great people and management skills.This is a hands-on position in which you will be required to undertake service shifts during weekends and public holidays. You will be an integral part of the management team.To be successful in this role you will need:Long-term commitment to this role.A superb knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails, excellent presentation & communication, Current LCQ & a current General Manager's Certificate.A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry, knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems, extensive management experience in fine dining Restaurants/hotel F & B operations.Able to work together with our Head Chef on developing new/suitable menus.Strong and effective communication skills, experience in managing and motivating staff, recruiting new staff, training and developing existing staff, coordinating staff scheduling and rota, able to engage & drive a strong FOH team culture.Outstanding customer service skills, excellent communication skills.Planning and working to budgets, handling and recording stock levels, maximizing profits and achieving sales targets. The ability to manage restaurant finances and ensure the smooth running of all its operations.Ensuring compliance with health regulations and internal presentation policies.Impeccable personal grooming, flexibility, and maturity in approach.Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with exceptional organizational skills.Other Key Requirements:A minimum of 3-year experience in a similar hospitality and management position.A qualification related to hospitality and management.Ability to provide a high level of customer service, happy to go the extra mile when required to ensure customer satisfaction.Proven track record of working within a team as well as motivating as a leader.Excellent communication skills are vital in this role.The successful candidate must be reliable, dedicated, and work well with others. With a passion & talent for modern cuisine and great knowledge of wine & food matching, your managerial skills should be world-class.
