About the Role - Restaurant Manager:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a keen eye for detail, and possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, we want to hear from you!
As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the overall operations of the restaurant. Your responsibilities will include:


Hire, train and supervise restaurant staff, including baristas, servers and kitchen personnel.


Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to maximise productivity and minimise waste.


Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service, and adherence to cleanliness and health and safety standards.


Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages to ensure consistency and quality.


Ensure daily production minimises items becoming sold out and reduces wastage.


Maintain a customer-centric focus, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons.


Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure proper stock levels for smooth restaurant operations.


Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to contribute to the restaurant's profitability.


Create and manage staff schedules, balancing workload and optimising labour costs.


???Ensure staff hours are accurately recorded on a daily basis.


Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and promote career growth.


Support overall business management and strategic planning.


Prepare and maintain daily sales reports, cash reconciliation and petty cash.


Promote menu items, create specials and undertake the necessary advertising.


Plan menus in consultation with the chefs.


Plan, organise and execute special functions and events, including private parties, corporate gatherings and themed nights.


May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders during busy periods.


Qualification, Experience, and Attributes Required:


Three years of previous experience in a similar role in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting or a relevant level 7 diploma or higher qualification.


Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.


Excellent leadership and communication skills.


Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, informed decisions.


Knowledge of health and safety regulations.


Excellent food hygiene practices.


Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.


High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.


Punctual, organised, and capable of multitasking with attention to detail.


Team player with effective communication skills.


Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.


Pay & Benefits:


Full-time permanent employment.


Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.


Hourly rate ranges between $29.66 - $31.00.
