Kanha Kitchen offers a wide range of homemade meals prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. With a focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, Kanha Kitchen aims to solidify its position as a leading provider of homemade tiffin services in our target market. We are based in Christchurch and offer 100% vegetarian Indian food.

For our restaurant, we are looking for a Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for the below mentioned duties:

Operational Management:

Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.

Monitor food preparation, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.

Staff Management:

Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule staff, including chefs, waitstaff, and support staff.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.

Handle staff conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

Customer Service:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.

Gather and respond to customer feedback to improve service quality.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage budgets to meet financial goals.

Analyze financial reports to track revenue, expenses, and profitability.

Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.

Marketing and Promotion:

Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Coordinate promotional events and special offers.

Maintain an active presence on social media and online review platforms.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain records of employee performance, payroll, and attendance.

Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety, and employment regulations.

Oversee maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities.

Work hours and Benefits

- Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week

Experience:

Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role.

Experience in various aspects of restaurant operations, including kitchen management and front-of-house operations.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Proficiency in using restaurant management software and Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift

8 hour shift

Evening shift

Weekend availability
