Job Title : Restaurant Manager Location : Christchurch, New Zealand Employment Type : Full-time, Permanent Hours per Week : Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week Pay Rate : $29.66 to $32 per hour (depending on experience) Days Required : Weekdays, weekends, and public holidays including evenings Job Description : We are seeking a qualified Restaurant Manager to lead and oversee the operation of one of our restaurants in Christchurch.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to create an outstanding customer experience while managing daily operations efficiently.
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, maintaining high food and service standards, and achieving financial targets.
You will be an essential part of creating a welcoming environment for both customers and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities : Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all customers Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling Ensure all employees deliver high-quality service and adhere to company standards Monitor customer satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or complaints Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and consistency Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations Manage stock, place orders, and control costs Work to achieve financial goals, including sales targets and cost control Implement marketing initiatives to drive restaurant traffic and increase revenue, including social media management Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment Qualifications & Skills : Diploma or higher level qualification relevant to hospitality or three years or more relevant work experience Demonstrate a sound understanding of Asian cuisines Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proficiency in social media management Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software is a plus How to Apply : Interested candidates should apply with their up-to-date CV and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and why they would be a great fit for this role.
