Position Overview We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Junyue Restaurant. The successful candidate will work closely with our chefs to create an exceptional dining experience, manage inventory and staff, and maintain a high standard of customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with chefs to design and refine menu offerings, balancing flavors, seasonal ingredients, and innovative dishes that highlight Chinese culinary traditions.
Organize and coordinate special functions and events, such as themed nights or private catering for parties.
Arrange and oversee the purchasing of fresh, high-quality ingredients and other supplies, ensuring stock levels are managed accurately to control costs and maintain quality.
Set pricing in alignment with budget requirements and market trends, focusing on maintaining profitability without sacrificing quality.
Ensure the restaurant adheres to all health regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing dining environment.
Regularly interact with guests to assess their satisfaction, promptly addressing any issues to enhance the dining experience.
Select, train, and supervise waiting and kitchen staff, developing and implementing training programs to improve service quality and efficiency.
Manage reservations, greet guests, and support order-taking during busy times or special events, ensuring seamless service flow.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Minimum requirement of a Diploma at Level 6 in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in restaurant management or a similar role in the hospitality industry is a plus, but it is not essential if you can demonstrate your great skills.
Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, strong proficiency in inventory and financial management, and a solid commitment to exceptional customer service.
Additional Information This position reports directly to the Director and is a full-time, permanent role requiring 40 hours per week. Flexibility is a plus, as evening and weekend work may be required.
