If you're all about delivering amazing hospitality and love the idea of working in one of the most unique waterfront spots in the Bay, we'd love to hear from you!JOB DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager, you will specialise in Restaurant and Functions Operations for the hotel.Lead the Restaurant and/or Functions team on your designated shift, ensuring that the expectations of our guests and staff are met (if not bettered), by consistently working professionally and efficiently.Up to two roles available.30-40 hours per week.7 day rotating roster.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:You will:Restaurant:Actively supervise and coordinate the daily operation of Restaurant services. Support employees on the floor to ensure consistent delivery of top quality service.Conduct motivational pre-service briefing with Front of House Waitstaff, providing support and training to successfully promote specials, up-sell and to achieve of sales targets.Resolve any staff issues that may occur on your shift in a timely and professional manner.Supervise the operation of the point of sale system ensuring efficient and accurate cash handling, including posting of chargesAddress and effectively resolve any customer complaints. Where necessary escalate complaint to the F&B Operations Manager and/or the General Manager.Work alongside the Kitchen team to ensure all orders are processed correctly, and all food is served as per guest preferences; including all room-service orders.Functions:Coordinate the daily operation of Function and Event services. Support employees on the floor to ensure all tasks are completed on time, and that there is consistent delivery of top quality service.Coordinate with the Executive Chef and Functions Operations Leader, the Events/Sales and Reservations teams to ensure smooth set-up and running of all functions, events, and group bookings coming and going from the hotel.Lead and prepare event set ups and pack downs, including setting up and packing away tables, table cloths and place settings, and buffets.Support the function and attendee experience from the moment they arrive to the time that they leave, representing the brand of the hotel and your team to the highest standard.Ensure all safety regulations are clearly communicated and followed. Give health and safety briefings for functions and events. In an emergency act as Chief Fire Warden, directing guests and employees how to get to the evacuation point.(Full job descriptions available on request).KEY REQUIREMENTS:Proven experience in a similar industry.LCQ qualification and holder of a current Manager Certificate – LiquorA high level of energy and demonstrated flexibility in Customer Service.Enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised.A passion for mixing and serving beverages and a sound wine and food knowledge.Computer literate.
