As a Food & Beverage service colleague at Harvest Restaurant, you will be at the forefront of creating extraordinary dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Bar, Beverage and Restaurant service
Greeting and welcoming guests with warmth and genuine hospitality.
Guiding guests through the menu, making recommendations, and ensuring their dining preferences are met.
Taking accurate orders and efficiently delivering food and beverages to guests' tables.
Assisting guests with any inquiries, dietary requirements, or special requests.
Maintaining a thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including local and international wines and cocktails.
Ensuring tables are set up neatly and that the dining area is clean and presentable at all times.
Handling payments and providing accurate bills to guests in a courteous manner.
Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Adhering to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Prior experience (2 years min) in restaurant food and beverage service is mandatory and must be verifiable.
A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work well in a small team environment.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and tidy dining area.
Knowledge of food, beverage & wine service, including an eagerness to learn more about local beer, wines and cocktails.
A current NZ drivers license and a method of transport.
We currently have fixed term contracted positions available starting from October 2024 ending March/April 2025.
