Nelson Intermediate is seeking a resource teacher of Maori, (catchment area Hira to Stoke), with high proficiency in te reo Maori me ona tikanga, along with a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa for Levels 1 and 2 immersion programmes and a deep understanding of iwi mana whenua in Te Tauihu o te Waka a Maui.
This role involves implementing culturally responsive curricula, supporting iwi educational priorities, and collaborating with teachers and school leaders to enhance Maori language and culture within a Maori medium context. Applicants should demonstrate experience in these areas and a passion for fostering Maori education.
