The Tongariro Power Scheme is a highly productive Hydro Power Scheme thanks to its wide catchment area and large storage capacity to feed our 3 Generating Plants Mangaio, Rangipo and Tokaanu.
About the role:
Our Resource Planning team is diverse and specialised, responsible for optimising people and equipment resource use across our key asset maintenance and management activities. You will ensure Genesis' generation assets meet business plan requirements, whilst coordinating and developing work schedules across multiple hydro power schemes. The role has a strong focus on managing and optimising many contracting companies. The role offers an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to have ownership over considerable work spread, provide influence across multiple sites, drive improvements and develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders. If you can coordinate multiple work streams, have a strong desire to continually improve processes and want to influence a large area of the renewable energy business, this might be the role for you.
Responsibilities:
Communication with site crews to coordinate resources and plan work-streams accordingly.
Use specialist Resource Planning skill-set to QA work orders, load Job Plans including estimates, PM schedules, and asset data to ensure effective asset related work activity.
Drive for continuous improvement through optimising internal and external resource use to meet asset management requirements.
Review/audit and update completed work orders and job plans, monitor outstanding purchasing and prepare relevant documentation for execution.
Build strong relationships with contractors, identify clear scope, costs and requirements, manage work completed, and ensure compliance is met.
About you:
Three+ years' experience in a planning and scheduling or contract management role.
Experience with plant maintenance (similar industry or heavy rotational).
A mechanical or electrical trade preferred.
A relevant tertiary qualification in planning, project management or similar, preferred.
Proven experience in data management and Microsoft applications.
High level of attention to detail.
Ideally, you'll have used a form of computerised maintenance management and will have experience with analysing data.
You will be a natural communicator, with strong commercial acumen, and a solid understanding of modern maintenance processes and practices.
Contract management experience or facilities management in a similar industry would be an advantage.
