Resource Consent Planner - Senior

The Horowhenua District is one of the fastest growing Districts in New Zealand. This brings with it abundant challenges and opportunities across a diverse range of planning activities.At HDC we are all about enabling what matters for our community and are seeking an experienced Senior Planner who is keen to take on the diverse mix of challenges that are pending for our community.In this position, you will process a variety of complex resource consent applications, lead project work related to resource management, and mentor developing planners.You will have up-to-date knowledge of the Resource Management Act and related legislation, experience in processing a range of resource consent and other applications, and the ability to form a complex planning argument. We are looking for someone who has outstanding interpersonal skills, particularly in relationship-building, is self-motivated, and has good organisational skills and a commitment to quality customer service. You will have a qualification in resource management planning or a related field and relevant planning experience.This is a permanent full-time role that will work in a flexible, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
