Leadership of a well established AOD serviceFor over 35 years, Odyssey House Trust Christchurch has been working with men affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issues. Our residence in Burnside accommodates up to 24 men at any one time, living in a therapeutic community.We focus on the wellbeing of individuals, family and community.In this role, you will:Take the lead in ensuring clients, staff and community are working togetherWork closely with the staff to continually enhance the programme structureDevelop timetables with the residents to keep the programme humming 24 x 7 daysBe innovative with new projects allocated based on skills and interestsRole model behaviours based on our service pillars of trust and respectManage the operational paperwork that goes with a leadership roleTo be successful in this role, you will:Be a registered health professionalHave experience working in a senior role in the addiction sectorHave excellent organisation skills, being able to respond to proactive and reactive requirements of the residentsShow good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, family/whanau, colleagues, and our community partnersHave the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team.Odyssey is proud to provide staff with:Birthday leaveMonthly individual external supervisionCultural training and supervisionPayment of an annual practising certificateFlexibility in working hoursLaptop and PhoneOn call AllowancesThis is an exciting time for this long serving service, combining a history of successfully delivering to men in our community while looking at evidence and research to bring innovation and connection into the service.
