OverviewMighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool is seeking a dedicated, driven and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years' education and experience of working with children. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children while managing the daily operations of the nursery. Your leadership skills will be essential in guiding staff and ensuring that our nursery meets the highest standards of care and education.You will have experience as a Manager or Deputy in a nursery setting with high standards, both in terms of childcare and customer care, and alongside this you will need an expert knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and outcomes and be able to deliver those through managing a dedicated staff team.Qualified to a minimum of NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with a minimum 2 years experience, you will be able to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff. You will have an excellent understanding of Ofsted requirements, Health and Safety and knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and the role of the DSL.DutiesOversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.Manage staff recruitment, training, and supervisions to foster a positive team environment.Develop the occupancy at the nursery through effective marketing and use of social media.Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and any concerns.Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to all health and safety regulations.Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided at the nursery.Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to create a welcoming atmosphere.RequirementsProven experience in early childhood education or childcare management is essential.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.If you are committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as Nursery Manager.Mighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
