About the role Reporting to the Head of Operational Delivery the Reserve Operations Manager is a leadership role responsible for the Reserves team, creating and sustaining a team environment that is supportive and encouraging.
Providing leadership, support and advice around management, maintenance and associated services to Council's parks, reserves, cemeteries, and land assets to meet adopted levels of service and to achieve Council's strategic direction Providing key support and advice to the Head of Operational Delivery and Open Spaces Asset Management Team. Visible Community Engagement and working in partnership with the community to deliver fit for purpose spaces Deliver works programmes and operational contracts within approved budgets, timeframes, and specifications Develop, engage, and successfully maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external About you We are looking for someone who is naturally a people person, who can connect the dots and drive success with our high-performing Reserves team, with strong leadership and quality assurance skills. You will communicate with ease and will be naturally resilient and positive.
You will also have:
Extensive relevant experience in Managing Reserves (10+ years), preferably within Local Government or a Community engaged environment Demonstrable team leadership skills, with the ability to empower, support and develop team members to reach their full potential Supports the development of a strong flexible culture that values and celebrates a range of contributions Experience working in a local government environment with budget preparation, management, and reporting experience Exceptional relationship building is essential to this role, as you will be working alongside multiple internal teams and external stakeholders and within our communities
