We are seeking a dynamic and culturally grounded Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day functions of Taumutu Runanga Limited. This is an incredible opportunity to manage diverse operational areas while contributing to the long-term success and strategic vision of Ngai Te Ruahikihiki ki Taumutu.
As Operations Manager, you are a key member of the management team and will collaborate closely with the CEO and Board to ensure smooth operations. You will manage the office, support strategic planning, lead staff development, oversee financial processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will ensure that our operations integrate cultural values, sustainability practices, and risk management into daily operations, and you'll stand in for the CEO as required, ensuring continuity and effective leadership across all functions.
Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of Taumutu Runanga Limited.
Support strategic planning and lead staff development initiatives.
Oversee financial processes including budget planning and compliance oversight.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure operations integrate cultural values and sustainability practices.
Stand in for the CEO as required.
Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of experience in operations management, leading diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead with cultural integrity, embodying the values of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, tikanga, and rangatiratanga.
A deep understanding of, and respect for, Taumutu Runanga's core values, including tikanga and te reo Maori, with the ability to integrate into daily operations and decision-making processes.
Strong financial management experience, including budget planning, contract negotiation, and compliance oversight.
Commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing, with experience promoting a safe and supportive work environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori is highly valued, with a willingness to grow in cultural competency.
