Reservations/Boat Host

Mitre Peak Cruises is located in Milford Sound at the northern most end of Fiordland National Park. We have led the way in small, scenic cruises of the spectacular sound which is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world.
We are currently seeking Reservations/Boat Host crew for a fixed term over the busy summer period. This position will be responsible for hosting, ensuring the safety of guests while in the care of Mitre Peak Cruises vessels and surrounds, and for reservations/administration duties. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills together with the ability to focus on safety, standards, and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Office administration/reservations
Pre-boarding check-in of customers
Provide excellent customer service at all times.
Assisting the Skippers with safety procedures on and around the vessel, including briefings and loading/off-loading guests.
Distributing information and material on board and answering guests' questions.
Prepping and confirming that amenities are clean and tidy at all times.
Conforming with the company Health & Safety policy and ensuring all reporting is completed in a timely manner, to ensure the safety of our staff and guests.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Previous boat experience and First Aid training are an advantage
An exceptionally positive personality and good conversationalist
Full training will be provided for all aspects of the position. You will receive a competitive wage, staff accommodation while on shift, and a rotating roster.
