Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The position is for a Research Technician to provide technical and administrative support for research projects funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand (Marsden grant) and the Auckland Medical Research Foundation.
The projects focus on the development of a vaccine against Group A Streptococcus, a bacterium that is responsible for a variety of diseases including pharyngitis, skin and soft tissue infections and acute rheumatic fever.
The position involves laboratory-based research including work with small animals and laboratory management responsibilities including, ordering of consumables and finance reports.
This is a fulltime ( 37.5 hours per week ), fixed term (up to 36 months) position.
The salary range for this role is between $62,400- $77,800 dependent on skills and experience.
