Our research groups engage over 70 research experts to provide research that ticks the boxes for both academic rigour, as well as being relevant to policy makers in business, government, and the community in general.We place emphasis on a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach and rank engagement with external stakeholders as a high priority. The Institute provides commissioned work for a range of external clients, with recent examples including work for the Ministry for Women, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Ministry of Health, the Retirement Commission and the Human Rights Commission. Further information on the Institute and details of commissioned projects can be found through our website at: candidate must have: Post-graduate degree minimumA sound understanding of the research funding environment;In-depth knowledge of funding agencies, their strategic priorities and processes.Proven experience in writing successful proposals and tendering processes;Proven experience in drafting, reviewing or negotiating research contracts or other consultancy or service agreements.Project management and reporting experience;The successful candidate will have knowledge of external research funding processes and the characteristics of the major funding bodies. The role is broad, covering research bids and contract research opportunities from many government ministries, departments and other government agencies such as Ministry of Health, ACC and Ministry of Education, as well as the private sector. You will have the ability to foster relevant relationships across these organisations.
