Objective Reporting to the Financial Controller and collaborating with the wider Finance Team, we seek a candidate passionate about external reporting, including ASX financial reporting as well as New Zealand and Australian tax and regulatory group reporting. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-growth New Zealand FinTech, helping us effectively communicate our progress to the market, regulators and revenue authorities. What you can expect Prepare and publish IFRS and ASX compliant audited interim and annual public financial reports.You'll have the chance to work on diverse tasks, making the job interesting and challenging, and enabling continuous skill development.New Zealand and Australian income tax calculation and preparation, and technical review of indirect taxes and their reporting.Tax planning and policy development across the New Zealand and Australia Group, including transfer pricing.Progressing the on-going development of sustainability reporting.Ensure correct execution of accounting, transfer pricing and tax policies.Prepare external reporting under applicable regulations to RBNZ, Statistics NZ, ASIC, Australian Bureau of Statistics, APRA and others.Monitoring and testing performance of internal controls. In addition to building these competencies, you'll have the chance to work on associated strategic projects, where your expertise will have a direct impact on the future performance of the business. Preferred experience and knowledge Professional accounting qualification. 2+ years post-qualification experience, ideally in professional services or the finance or technology sectors.Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.Experience in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.Passion for GAAP, tax and sustainability reporting.Ability to research and keep up to date with financial reporting and tax developments relevant to the business.Experience with transfer pricing and GST in financial services (nice to have)Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with different audiences and stakeholders.Positive mindset with a mature, driven attitude and a passion for making a difference.
