We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Relief Night Manager / Night Auditor. The ambassador should have an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experiences for our guests and developing a wonderful team.Your Purpose: Choreographing the night with poise, where elegance and precision never sleeps.Job DescriptionOur Ambassador will:Carry out Night Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Night Manager.Actively participate in weekly Front Office meetings, respecting the confidentiality of issues discussed.Effectively supervise late guest arrivals and early departures, ensuring that room allocations and check-in/check-out processes follow set procedures and are customer-focused.Be totally conversant with PMS and balance procedures.Compile Night Audit day pack reports and documents in accordance with PCI Compliance, distributing to specific departments in a timely manner.Complete thorough audits of all daily revenue and postings, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy of reporting.Collate paperwork for departures, including credit card and company charges to be forwarded to the Accounts department.Program wake-up calls ensuring these are received. Order newspapers as necessary and deliver to rooms.Be aware of room availability and sensitively manage overbooking situations where late-night relocation is required.Ensure that reservation details for in-house guests are recorded correctly, including room rates, dates of stay, and authority to charge.Complete relevant computer tasks related to Night Audit functions, including posting room charges and daily room revenue.Assist in the preparation of Front Office monthly reports, commenting on key performance indicators.Ensure public areas are clean and well presented with regular monitoring.Effectively liaise with the Reservations office to ensure accuracy in room allocation and maximization of yield.QualificationsValid Full New Zealand Driver's Licence with a clean driving history.Valid LCQ/Managers Licence is a bonus.Night Allowance at 1.25 of ordinary rate from 00:00am to 05:00am.PMS - Opera or Opera Cloud is a bonus.At least 1 year in a leadership role, specifically Night Manager experience within the hotel industry is a bonus.Attention to detail.Strong presentation and organization skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be proactive.Previous hotel or administration experience.Positive bubbly personality.Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.Projects a professional image at all times through personal presentation and interpersonal skills.Additional InformationLearn your Way - Access to Dobecoso you can Earn while you Learn!Work Your Way - Flexibility to ensure a work-life balance!Benefits Your Way - Incredible Accor Heartist Benefits - discounted Food & Beverage + Accommodation Worldwide.Complimentary meals on shift.Accor's Parental Leave Scheme - up to 10 weeks of paid leave.Access to our Employee Assistance Program.
