As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist you will play a pivotal part in helping the business navigate and adapt to regulatory changes, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with evolving industry standards. Working closely with the Head of Regulatory and Remediation, you'll have the chance to lead on key industry priorities, work on high-impact regulatory projects, and present insights to senior leadership.Key responsibilities include:Assessing legislative and regulatory changes and collaborating with business units to mitigate associated risks.Presenting insights and drafting reports for executive committees and other internal forums.Leading and supporting the development of AIA's views on key industry issues, including adviser regulation, prudential regulation, and conduct regulation.Coordinating AIA's responses to government policy changes, regulator consultations, and industry body requests.Supporting regulatory change projects and initiatives and working with key stakeholders to facilitate integration within the business.Advising on regulatory and conduct related matters, with a focus on delivering positive customer outcomes.Ideally, you'll bring:Strong research skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory changes into actionable business strategies.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.A proactive mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.A background in financial services (preferably insurance) with 2+ years PQE from a law firm or in-house legal team.Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.A relevant tertiary qualification, with legal qualifications preferred.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in regulatory affairs within a leading insurance company.Why choose AIA?Opportunities to grow within the business through internal mobility.Competitive employee benefits that include insurances, an Employee Share Purchase Scheme and an extra day of leave each quarter to recharge.Membership to AIA Vitality, our science-backed health and wellbeing programme.A supportive and inclusive workplace.Flexible working arrangements.If you believe in better, apply now!
