The Obstetrics Unit is busy, with increasing numbers of high-acuity cases.
Every effort is made to provide experience in major and minor Gynaecological surgery.You will be provided with the necessary training, along with weekly protected teaching time and a high level of supportive Consultant supervision.We are a RANZCOG training site for ITP trainees and have very strong links with RANZCOG and the University of Otago Medical School, where many of our Registrars complete postgraduate diplomas in O&G.Our advanced trainees are given excellent exposure to specialised skills, including colposcopy, office gynaecology procedures, rural clinics and the opportunity to attend fertility clinics off site.The successful applicant will be able to direct their own training towards the path of their choosing with expert support from our team.Our ideal candidate will have:Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
