The Role
We are looking for a Registered Social Worker to provide social work support and advocacy in Oamaru. In this role, you will work alongside our local multi-disciplinary team of 6 staff as well as connect with our wider Family Works team across the Otago region to provide effective, quality social work services to clients and the community.
Hours: This is a permanent, part time position working 20-30 hours per week negotiable.
About You
A Registered Social Worker
Someone with sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and an understanding of working within a bi-cultural and multi-cultural framework
Great with interpersonal and advocacy skills and can prioritize working collaboratively.
Understanding of the impact of social complexities and be able to use your skills and knowledge to work within a generic community social work team.
Able to work autonomously whilst also being part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
Someone with enthusiasm, energy, commitment and have a good sense of humour
