About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Registered Nurse who would like to join our multi-disciplinary inpatient mental health team on a temporary basis.
Our service provides inpatient care for acute through to rehabilitation.

About You You are a NZ Registered Nurse with the confidence to work autonomously and the resilience to manage a busy workload.You are culturally aware and keen to reduce the barriers that make accessing services difficult for our Maori clients.You are driven to work in a pro-active manner and embrace change and development.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Well-developed interpersonal skills.Willingness to work across the Mental Health Inpatient Continuum.Knowledge of: Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act, 1992.PPPR Act - Welfare Guardian.Sensory Modulation Principles in Mental Health.Mental status examinations and risk assessments.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
