Mary Potter Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region. We have an Inpatient Unit, and a strong Community team. We take a multi-disciplinary approach in order to provide holistic care for our patients and their families. The role We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated and friendly multidisciplinary team. In this varied role, you will be supporting patients in our In-Patient Unit as well as patients in their homes in the community. You will be supported collegially by a team of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, and we can support you to develop palliative care skills so you can grow within our organisation. This fulfilling and important role provides skilled and compassionate occupational therapy to ensure patients have the opportunity to engage with activities or occupations that are essential and meaningful to them, fostering a sense of ability, dignity, and control. To be successful you will need to Be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand 2+ years' experience as a registered Occupational Therapist Be required to undertake pre-employment health screening and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check Current driver's licence Have NZ residency or a valid work visa.
