A patient's journey in the spinal unit is complex and challenging with highs and lows, so we need you to be positive and passionate about rehabilitation to ensure our patients reach their full potential.Professional development is encouraged in the unit and supported by the spinal unit leadership team.About YouYou'll need excellent communication skills, flexible thinking, and an interest in innovative and emerging therapies. You'll have a strong rehabilitation focus, a desire to learn, and an understanding of the social needs and backgrounds of patients and their families/whanau.A good sense of humour, the ability to develop rapport with patients and colleagues, and exceptional teamwork will go a long way in this environment and ensure you assist patients in overcoming multi-faceted challenges.Rehabilitation experience would be a bonus, but not a requirement.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
