The care we provide often requires working with multiple agencies and specialists – social workers, food banks and other community groups, while it will not be up to you alone to make the difference, you'll be able to leverage and work with other community support and our Whanau Awhina services to respond to the needs of our community. He korero mou | About you You will be able to demonstrate the ability in responding to and understanding the issues and impacts that health inequalities have had in rural communities, those with multiple or complex needs, Pacific families and Maori whanau. The uniqueness of the whanau we connect with is what makes our role interesting. You will be flexible in your approach, but always with a listening ear, manaakitanga (support), ngakau (respect), and the ability to provide culturally safe care. While the autonomy which comes with working on your own and home visiting will be attractive to you, your ability to work in collaboration with others will be the key to your success.
