Registered Nurse - Wanaka (Fixed term until March 2026) Getting ready for state and want to start your career in an organisation that cares about you and your community?
We have a thorough 6 week onboarding and induction programme where you will be precepted by an experienced nurse so you can truly make a difference for whanau and tamariki in Wanaka. This is a full time role fixed term until March 2026.
Working with an eclectic range of whanau, you'll build relationships and meet with tamariki under 5 and their village throughout their journey. Our nurses conduct top-to-toe assessments in homes and clinics and speak with whanau to ensure their little ones are thriving.
We aspire to be holistic in our care, meaning your collaborative style and ability to leverage other community support and our wider services will make all the difference to your community.
The variety that comes with conducting home visits and facilitating clinics will develop your clinical skills and ability to work independently (with the support of the Central Otago team and Clinical Leader just a phone call away).
Our pro-equity journey means we are committed to removing barriers to ensure that the most vulnerable whanau have easy access to our care – being at the forefront of ensuring all pepi have what they need to thrive, isn't that why you got into healthcare?
Pay rates for our Registered Nurses are between $62,911 - $90,099 depending on experience.
No two pepi are the same and your ability to ask the right questions, actively listen and convey information to suit the needs of the whanau in front of you will be the key to your success. Our mahi complements whanau strengths, so a non-judgmental attitude coupled with a resilient and relational manner is a must in this role.
While the autonomy of working on your own may be attractive to you, our role requires some flexibility to ensure we can meet whanau when they need.
To be successful in this role you will:
Be passionate about providing primary healthcare in a community setting.
Hold valid the right to work in Aotearoa.
Be a Registered Nurse.
Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate.
Hold a full or restricted clean NZ Drivers License.
