2x Permanent positions. 1x 0.8FTE and 1x 0.7 FTE RN/EN in Medical Unit

Minimum Requirements:

Acute care nursing experience is required

Current registration with the NZ Nursing Council

Recent acute nursing experience

About these positions:

Our 30-bed medical unit is the only acute medical admitting ward at Nelson Hospital. We are a fast-paced, dynamic unit catering to multiple medical specialties such as cardiology, oncology, respiratory, and neurology.

You will have a commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high-performing team. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has great assessment and time management skills. You will be confident in your practice, able to work autonomously, and relate well to a wide variety of people including patients, families, and our multidisciplinary clinical teams. Every day is different, and our nurses enjoy the variety of work, the people they interact with, and the challenge of giving each patient the best experience whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.
