Registered Nurse

Tararua Health Group is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team across our various sites for a 12 month fixed term, starting January 2025.As our Registered Nurse you will deliver primary care nursing, where our patients should feel respected and assured that they have received the best possible care.Your responsibilities across our practice will be to:Provide high-quality nursing care and support to patientsPerform ECGs, wound care, and suture/staple removalManage recall and clearing of inbox/tasksHandle phone nursing duties, including phone triage and prescriptions for GP approvalCarry out vaccinations, smears and patient education.To thrive in this role, you will possess:Minimum of 3 years' experience as a RN in Primary CareCurrent NZ Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of NZ.Certified vaccinator and smeartakerProficiency in ECG, dressings/wound care, suture/staple removalExperience with phone nursing, including prescription managementUnderstanding of primary health care clinical programmes and experience with complex health needsAlignment with the principles of The Treaty of WaitangiHours of Work: 32 hours per week with flexibilityStart Date: January 2025 - January 2026Salary: Competitive rate offered inline with your experienceIf you are passionate about making a difference in our community and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you!Apply now to join our Whanau at Tararua Health.
