About the role
The Gastroenterology Department:
Collaborate in the endoscopy service and to the broader Gastroenterology team of consultants, specialist nurses for IBD and Hepatology, and the National Bowel Screening Program co-ordinators.
Upskill in the gastroenterology field and learn technical skills for assisting with flexible endoscopic procedures.
Support a diagnostic outpatient service, and to be exposed to a different type of nursing practice.
Participate in our after-hours acute service roster.
Expand your knowledge in areas like population bowel screening, inflammatory bowel disease and liver disease.
Shifts are rostered between 0730 and 1800.

About you
Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand.
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution-focused.
Experience in the gastroenterology and/or flexible endoscopy field will be advantageous.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship due to not meeting minimum hours.

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale, between $75,773 and $106,739 p.a pro rata dependent on relevant experience.
